From carefully selected repurposed foam to controlled production and rigorous in-house testing, every step is designed to ensure consistent ProPlay quality. 

From material sourcing and production to quality control and testing, Schmitz Foam manages every step of the process. With production facilities in Roermond (NL) and Coldwater (US), we combine specialist expertise with full control over product quality.

For every 250 m² of ProPlay produced, samples are tested for their physical properties. Every 1,250 m², additional samples undergo sport-technical testing, including shock absorption, energy restitution, vertical deformation, G-max/HIC and horizontal drainage.

Developing and manufacturing high-quality shock pads is our expertise. ProPlay contributes to safe, comfortable and reliable playing surfaces for sports fields and playgrounds.


We use carefully selected, high-quality repurposed XPE foam. Strict material selection and quality control help ensure consistent ProPlay quality from batch to batch.

Only approved cross-linked PE foam enters our production process. A carefully controlled process determines the optimal material mix to ensure that every ProPlay shock pad meets our quality and performance requirements.

ProPlay is made from high-quality repurposed XPE foam sourced from industries such as automotive, packaging and construction. By giving these materials a new purpose, we keep valuable resources in use.

At the end of its application, ProPlay can be reused or returned to Schmitz Foam for recycling into new products. This helps keep valuable foam materials out of landfill.
