At Schmitz Foam Supply, delivering high-quality products with consistent performance is our top priority. That’s why we continually invest in process control, advanced engineering, and precise product testing, ensuring every RoFoam product performs exactly as intended.

Quality control starts on the production line. During and immediately after manufacturing, our operators take regular samples and perform visual inspections. This allows us to identify any deviations early and make immediate corrections, keeping every roll of RoFoam within tight tolerances, from the first to the last foot.

In-lab quality and performance testing

Once production is complete, RoFoam undergoes a series of standardized XPE foam tests in our in-house laboratory. These tests confirm the key material properties that determine real-world performance. With precision instruments, we get accurate, reliable data for every production batch.

Thickness

Measured to ensure consistent dimensional accuracy.

Density

Determines weight per volume, directly affecting flexibility, processability, and mechanical performance.

Shrinkage

Simulates thermal processes like lamination or thermoforming to verify shape stability under heat.

Tensile strength

Measures resistance to stretching in both machine direction (MD) and cross direction (CD), critical for load-bearing applications.

Compressive strength

Assesses the ability to resist compression over time, important for applications under constant pressure.

Shore hardness

Measures surface resistance to permanent deformation, indicating suitability for specific processing or end-use conditions.

These in-lab evaluations give a complete picture of our XPE foam’s mechanical performance, resulting in RoFoam products that consistently meet customer-specific quality and performance requirements, no matter the application or industry.
